MoneyText is the cross-border service brand of leading independent telecoms provider Pal Telecom. It gives people living in the developed world a secure, convenient reliable and fast method of transferring funds to family and friends in the developing world. Phase I of this service has enabled UK residents top-up the phones of family members in Ghana.
Mpay is the mobile payments service brand of leading Kuwaiti company Al Bahar Telecom, and delivers a full suite of mobile services including top-up, bill pay and banking.
Macalla enables Vodafone subscribers and mobile agents to directly recharge their prepaid call credit from their mobile phone (or other electronic channels) without the use of vouchers.
Subscribers on the bMobile network in Trinidad & Tobago can top-up their mobile phones using U-TU. The system links directly their mobile pre-paid account with their bank accounts.
The Macalla Platform enables Bank of Ireland customers to top-up their own and others, including friends and family, prepaid accounts directly from their mobile phones. To do this, customers simply send a free text message. The transaction is automatically paid for via their Bank of Ireland account.
